Instruction - Competition
An open line of communication between instructor and student is the most important aspect of a successful learning experience. PJ Crowley's very clear, patient attitude makes learning easy and fun. PJ encourages his student riders, making each session challenging enough that his students want to be the best at their game. Developing a "feel" for their horses is emphasized, with the understanding that growing confidence in the ability of horse and rider helps both to venture outside their comfort levels and experience all that they are truly capable of. Learning and having fun with horses is paramount -a personal best is more important than ribbons or score boards. Competition can challenge and test the skills of horse and rider, but it is not required. PJ's students range from 4-H'ers to professional competitive riders. Accomplishments include local wins with a single pony through the spectrum to national championships with a
four-in-hand, and more importantly, a whole lot of fun! PJ and Tara are also committed to keeping current in their teaching and riding techniques. They hone their own skills in ongoing training with various world-class trainers, teachers, and instructors.
